Shotgun vs Zombies: Game

About

Shotgun vs Zombies is a side scrolling shooting game on the Armor Games network. The goal of the game is to upgrade your shotgun and of course, kill all the zombies. As players progress though levels, more and more intricate zombies are introduced, such as; gunners, grenadiers, grim reapers, rocketeers and more. A level is completed when you've killed the required amount of zombies, and they spawn by dropping from the sky so "watch your head".

Rating

Considering I played till the end of the game, I would say it's a fun game. Simple in design but tricky like most zombies games because of the fact that zombies are powerful in numbers, especially when they have guns and syths. For a short online game, we have a winner here, worthy of trying.

Upgrade

There are a good range of upgrade features, as shown below, so you can customize your gun as you see fit, improving damage, health, accuracy, as well as the weapon component, introducing poison, freeze bullets and rockets/grenades.

Diesel Valkyrie

Everything in this game is cute, except the zombies and the blood and the slaughter. Cute! Collect crates and shoot everybody to stay alive as long as you can!

Play as a gas guzzling death bot just trying to stay alive whilst being confined to a small space with endless zombies hungry for computer chips. You get three lives so use them well. Search crates that randomly spawn on the ground, find powerups inside, could be a machine gun, or flame thrower or growth power so you can stomp the munchers for a change.

Instructions: WASD to move; Mouse to aim and fire; Spacebar for special weapons

Endless Zombie Rampage 2

Defend your little 6-by-6 base against wave after wave of zombie hordes. Many weapons available to develop and many bigger badder zombies to slay. Pick a task at the start of each day like finding survivors or collecting resources. Very fun and lots of gun fun. Play Endless Zombie Rampage 2 here.

More Zombies

Defend your burger stand against seemingly never-ending waves of zombies. Don't forget to pick-up ammo, weapons or upgrades else you won't have a snowflake-in-hell's chance of surviving. Play More Zombies here.

ZomTV

This is one of the odder games on the list. But we like odd. You are in charge of a secret government installation and your task is to defend it against zombies without killing humans. ZomTV deserves credit for trying something different. Play ZomTV here.

SAS Zombie Assault

A classic top-down zombie game where you have to fend off wave after wave of undead monsters. Once you have wiped out a wave, you are given the chance to upgrade your defences or buy new weapons. SAS Zombie Assault starts off relatively easy but surviving all the 20 waves requires cunning and lightning fast reactions. Play SAS Zombie Assault here.

Desolation 2

Not all zombie games are non-stop gory action. Some actually require you think a bit. Desolation 2 is one such game. Find items and solve puzzles in this atmospheric point and click game, and help the hero to track down a remedy to cure a zombie illness that has struck down the local population. You can play Desolation 2 here.

Days 2 Die

You are trapped in a zombie-infested city. You need to get to the harbour and board the last ship out of town. Days 2 Die is a side-scrolling action bloodfest. Chop, smash, blast or incinerate zombies into bits using a variety of weapons. Play the game here.

The Breach

The Breach is a space-based zombie rpg featuring great platformer action and top-notch graphics. If you like platform games, space-themes and zombies, then you won't be able to go wrong with this game. Click here to play The Breach.

Zombies Took My Daughter

Your sweet little daughter has been kidnapped. If that wasn't bad enough on its own, the kidnappers are zombies. Thus begins Zombies Took My Daughter, an innovative and fun little zombie game. The game has everything you would expect from a zombie game: lots of weapons, loads of places to explore and, of course, tons of zombies to destroy. The thing that sets this game apart from most zombie games is that the game's city environment is generated randomly. Each game you play therefore will be different. Zombies Took My Daughter can be played here.

Infectionator

Most people hide away in their bedrooms when they are suffering from an infectious illness. They don't want to pass their illness on to their friends and family. Not the god-like protagonist of Infectonator - a fun strategy game by Toge Productions. He loves nothing more than sharing his infectious illness with as many people as possible, and he has at his disposal a particularly insidious infection, one that turns people into zombies. Your task on each level of the game is to infect or kill all the people within 60 seconds. You can play Infectionator here.

Sonny

In Sonny - a turn-based rpg with impressively high production values - you don't kill zombies but, in an unusual plot twist, play the part of a zombie. Sonny wasn't always a zombie. He used to be a normal bloke. But then he was involved in a accident on a ship. He should have died but instead he became a zombie. Now he is an all-out battle for survival.

Boxhead: The Zombie Wars

Countless thousands (eventually millions) of zombies to kill. It's nothing personal, just a case of us or them.

That’s the idea in Boxhead: The Zombie Wars. You control the player from a birds eye view and attempt to fend off wave after wave of zombies while the level increases. Defeating more zombies allows you different guns, perks, specials and ammunition ranging from shotguns to barricades to airstrikes.

The controls are simple
  • Use the arrow keys to walk
  • Spacebar to fire
  • 1-0 to select weapon
  • Z, X to cycle through weapons
  • P to pause
Zombie Wars Weapons:

1 Pistol
2 Shotgun
3 Barrels
4 Barricades
5 Turret Gun
6 Minigun
7 Grenades
8 Rocket Launcher
9 Turret Mortor
0 Airstrike

Zombies and Devils are back from the previous versions, but watch out, Boxhead: The Zombie Wars has some newcomers. Runners are zombies that will run after you when the get you in their sights. Mummies spring from the ground and attack. Vampires turn into bats and will appear right next to you, be careful, they are very dangerous. The action is frenetic as more and more zombies come from your brain as the level increases. There are a few different levels but the cosmetic differences are almost negligible as one looks exactly like the other save for a change in terrain and background.

A very fun Zombie game, you can play here

DayZ

DayZ is a zombie Mod for, Arma2, and its expansion Arma2 Operation Arrowhead. For those of you unfamiliar with the land of PC gaming, mods are commonly occurring 'modifications' to existing PC titles. Created by the gaming population (typically the programming variety), Mods exist in a variety of shapes and sizes. Sometimes they boost graphical quality, they may change a perceived flaw, add something comical, or they might e a completely different title using the original game as a jump off point - DayZ is one of these.

I enjoy Zombie Apocalypse games in all shapes and sizes. You start the game at a random spawn point, usually near the coast on a map 225kms square. You have a pistol with a few clips, some bandages, flares, and probably a bit of food and water, that's it, and you'll need to find more. The map holds towns, great expanses of woods, five hundred plus zombies, bandits, and your fellow players. Those players might be helpful, they also might be hard up for stuff and want yours. Chances are anyone you meet will want your stuff and will take it if they have to, so be suspicious. People and the undead aren't the only thing you have to be wary of, you need to eat, you need to drink, and if you're hurt, you need patching up. Canteen empty already? Better find a water source. The other night I spent the better part of an hour trying to find my way out of a forest. Some folks, the twitch muscle variety perhaps, might think that sounds like a boring experience. Not me. The servers run a full day cycle, and that includes nighttime, no pushing a button and waiting 'til daylight, I needed gear to survive, so I had to find my way out of the woods. I didn't know if there was a town over the next rise, or if a few roaming Zombies were in the next copse of trees. As I scouted the terrain for movement and any sign of a building or town that might contain the gear I needed to keep going.

You aren't a hero in DayZ, you are a dead man walking; the average lifespan is around about a half hour. Ever find yourself wondering what would happen in real life if you ran out of bullets and had a bunch of zombies after you? I did. Turns out you get eaten. Having been the alpha predator in numerous apocalypse scenarios, it was with a novel feeling of hopelessness that I just had to accept my fate. That vulnerability is runs right through DayZ. Hanging by a thread, you'll need to go to town to find the goods, but you go a street to far, or a step too careless and, well... you only have so many bullets.

As DayZ picks up steam, features will be added, bugs will be squashed, and people will flock to it like a horde of zombies alerted by a gunshot.

Zombie Lane

Start off as a lone survivor in the crumbled remains of what used to be your house as your neighbors are in hiding, the streets and buildings turned to rubble and a horde of zombies trolls right outside what remains of your fence.

Zombie Lane is a zombie neighborhood style social game by Digital Chocolate. Take back control of your neighborhood from Zombies! Equip a weapon of your choice and fight off the endless waves of the undead! Smack them with a shovel or take them down quickly with a shotgun.

In a post zombie apocalyptic world where Zombies have overrun the planet and your neighborhood is in ruin, you must fend off the hordes of undead walkers and rebuild your community to the way it was. Utilizing your friends as your neighbors, taking advantage of helping each other out plays a big role in moving forward.
